| This area lies in an important segment of Anshan group of Archean iron formation, with features being as follows: 1. primary rock formation comprises a complete voleanic-sedimentaly cycle consisting of basic, intermediate-acid to acid volcanics. Silica-iron sedimentation and terrigenous clastic sedimentation occurred during the interstice of volcanic aclivities; 2. seven types are classified among the various metamorphic rock types, of which the most complicated one is siliceous ferruginous sedimentary interface type; 3. the sedimeblary environment is presumed to be deep-sea marginal depression zone and iron ore deposits belong to the tele-volcano type; 4. the strong deformation of early-middle tight folds nlight thicken the orebodies occurring at diverted parts of fold to form larger ones; 5. this area belong to kata-metamorphic greenstone formation, posessing the similar greenstone series and early-late intrusive events of soda-potassium rocks. But the ultrabasic rocks of lower part are poor-developed, only minor ultramafic lava and along-strata intrusives could be seen. |
